On the move

Hi everyone,

As some of you know I have recently returned from a trip back to Holland to visit family and friends. I had a wonderful time but as every small business owner knows, coming home and starting work again means catching up on a serious back log of work. I apologise to anyone who has perhaps had to wait a little longer then normal. We are starting to get on top of things again.

Introducing

I say “we” and would like to take this opportunity to introduce Rob Koops to you. Rob and I have worked together in the past and I have asked him to join me to assist with some account management and also to look after the business and admin side of Different Design. This will free me up to spend more time on what’s really important; my clients.

On the move

That’s right, we’re moving. The home-office is getting a little cramped so we have decided to rent office space in Waipapa, just behind RD1 and next door to Trish’s Café.

Next time you come through Waipapa stop in for a coffee and a chat!

Accounting system

To make us more efficient in the way we are quoting and invoicing we have decided to implement a new accounting system. From now on you will receive invoices generated with MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) Accounting software.

To make sure we have your business details correctly in our database we would really appreciate it if you could fill out the attached Credit Application form and return it to us (PO Box 329, Kaeo).

New phone number

Because of the move we have to change our phone number as well. We have decided to try out the Vodafone ‘home-box’ wireless system which will allow us to take the number with us if we move again (not that we are planning on doing that anytime soon). Our new number is 09 946 6766. Although this looks like an Auckland number, we have been assured that you only pay local tariff when you ring us.

Regular update

From now on will be sending out a regular “Design Brief” like this one, to let you know what is happening and what we are working on. Each time we will feature some of the work that we have recently completed for our clients.

Boyd remembrance

This time we would like to draw your attention to a new website we have just completed about one of the earliest major maritime conflicts between Maori and Pakeha that strained the fledging relationship between the two cultures. It raised the profile of New Zealand on the international scene and may have altered the direction of New Zealand history.

In December 2009 the Whangaroa Community will be staging a remembrance event marking the 200th anniversary of this so called “Boyd Incident”.

We are very proud to be involved with this Northland based event and invite you to have a look at www.boydremembrance2009.co.nz which is full of Northland and New Zealand history.

Thank you all for your business and until next time.

Kind regards,
